How old were you?

How old were you when you first started reading the Bartimaeus Trilogy?

It's said that the series is for "Teens", but I'm still enjoying the books at the age of 22. Of course I read them for the first time when I was 16-17. There is a lot of death and serious topics in the series, so I don't consider it a "Kid's" book at all.

I read it for the first time last year, which would make me 13. It was love at first read, so to speak :)

15/16 years. I finished the series when I was 16.

I wish I'd read it at 12, too. I was 19 I think?

I remember picking it up at 16 and thinking I wanted to read it but I gave it to somebody else instead as a birthday present.

They didn't even look happy. Asshole.

I don't even remember anymore. Late into elementary school I think I was, around when the first book came out. I am a university student now. Amazing.
