I really had no idea how to picture him in the second book with long hair. Maybe like a young Snape? In the first book I pictured him as a skinnier version of me :P

Not really. Snape had sallow skin, big nose and bad teeth, none of which, as far as we know, are characteristics that Nathaniel has.

I actually almost never picture the characters as they are described. I just picture them as some people from films with similar nature. I don´t know why, but I pictured him like Hiccup from How totrain your dragon, but "aged him up" a bit. Strange huh?
