That's a pretty controversal issue. Henceforth, different religions.

Sperm is alive in the same way hair is.

"Psalm 51:5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me."

How could you be sinful at birth if you didn't do anything? So what is sin? That's why I'm asking.

The Birth was not Virgin. Only Jesus did not Sin.

Jesus smited a fig tree. Does that count as sinning?

So, having sex is a sin? But it's a natural body function. But you can't really talk about what is and isn't a sin without knowing what a sin is.

Back then, people considered sex outside marriage bad. They even put it in their religion. I don't imagine Jesus as the type to talk about it too much, but seeing as I wasn't there 2000 years ago, I guess that's not really a credible statement.

The sex is kind of a joke now, in modern society. I know plenty of Catholics who...yeah.

XD Ewww....sexxxx.

Yeah, but I don't think the quote means that all bastards are sin by birth. It says everyone. D:

Yes. 2000 years ago, that was the belief. Hell, 200 years ago, that was belief.

"Woman were created from Adam's rib, Hence they are inferior."
Jesus is sexist. :P
Shame of the Super Son
Jesus didn't say that. XD

But he might have been sexist. But is he sexist now?

Depends whether you, like Hodge, still live in the Middle Ages.

Where the hell did he get 636 from? He doesn't know what he's talking about.

Also, sin is what the Bible says is a sin. - gasp! - Go against the Bible, you have sinned. Sex is sin if not done in the missionary position because that is the position most likely to conceive a child. Marry before having sex, or it's a sin. Jesus said he approved of celibacy. Jesus was not sexist. One of the most important people ever --- The Virgin Mary --- is, of course, a woman and revered. God made man first, so...and if he made woman first and made man from his rib? Someone had to be the bad one, even if the story was influenced so it was the woman.

And I despise Catholics who claim they are Catholics and then fornicate like it's nothing or sin in a myriad of other ways deliberately. A major portion of the Catholics/Christians picked their religion because

1. Didn't want to go to hell.
2. They grew up around it and naturally adopted it from a young age.

Grew up around it is what happens to most young children.

In America, you'd be hard pressed to find a christian who became one after researching other religions.

How do you know that the bible is entirely legit? And the friend was a girl.
Krim Horla
...When did I ever say the Bible is completely legit? It's just not 636. There is speculation it was 616, but 666 is more widely accepted because it fits in with Nero, who many people think it was in reference into. An uncovered Greek scripture, I believe, said '616'. Nothing points to 636.
