Hello, all. I'm new here. I'm a bit confused. The OP is talking about "The Halfblood Prince". Why would they destroy the Burrow in that film when it plays a big part in the beginning of "Deathly Hallows"? For example...the wedding. The overthrow of the ministry. Harry, Ron and Hermione escaping quickly.

What are they doing to the movies????

They often alter the story in the HP movies a lot, like deleting important details or adding unnecessary characters. I wonder what they're trying to do by adding that Burrow scene...maybe trying to fill in for a deleted part perhaps?

Although I doubt that the Burrow would be staying as a bunch of pieces forever. Since it's where the Weasleys live (plus the fact that they might not have enough money to afford another house), they gotta rebuild it somehow, especially between the end of HBP and the beginning of DH.

Except for leaving things out, like the entire SPEW thing, but that really had to go. It would have made the movie too long to get into it where people who haven't read the books would understand it.

And yes, they changed the part where Harry beat the dragon in Goblet, but that was pretty cool.

But am I missing something? Where was there a battle in HBP at the Weasley's? Of course where the Burrow wasn't destroyed. Am I forgetting it?

If the Burrow was destroyed in the book, then I must have missed it as well, because I can't recall anything even about the Burrow being attacked. Just Harry visiting the Weasleys, the new Minister arriving, and the announcement of Bill and Fleur's engagement.

Besides, people would have been talking about it like crazy if that was the case.

Well, u guys seriously need a HP pro like me around... No, the burrow was'nt destroyed in book 6, that's all the writers cum directors invention. About the dragon part, in the book Harry takes the egg real quick & gets his shoulder injured by the dragon's tail -both of which they excluded in the movie. Also Harry performed 'Accio' before the dragon attacks him & .... do we really need to go into every small detail? I will fill the page out then. Still, I'm cool with the dragon part. Changes were minute & tolerable. What I angry about is cutting the quidditch parts, St Mungo's & million other necessary things.

Eh, I didn't like Goblet of Fire anyway. Least favorite HP book out of all seven.

I was especially mad when the filmmakers cut the part where Harry starts yelling at Dumbledore in his office right after the battle at the Ministry. Sorry if it sounds weird, but that was one of my favorite parts of OotP. It shows that Harry is just a normal (wizard) human and has flaws like everybody else.

Least fav HP is sixth. Seemed pretty much useless except for Horcreux and Dumbledore dying.

Edit: I believe in March, they finished all the scenes with HBC and Dan in March, 'cos she was having her child in Nov, right?

And they did the Burrow scenes, with julie Walter end of March

Yep, followed by DH Part I released in November 2 years from now and DH Part II in May 2011 (possibly)
