The old one was amazing...Gambon's ok, but he's not as good. Although I could imagine him being gay...the old one was too much asexual father figure.

Yeah.

There's a 'British actors only' policy with all the HP characters anyway.

Like Huge Laurie in House.
Any of you watch that show?

I do!

But back on topic...Gambon is too much of an angry Dumbly. And the old one was too calm.

I think Gambon is very good at Dumbly

I think the too calm personality is much better than too angry.
I should create tv show topic...

I feel the same. Look how he ran down the stairs after Harry's name came out of the Goblet. The real Dumby would never do that. Though I suppose, I don't know if it is actually his fault. Mightbe the producers.

But the fourth season sorta sucked. The only good ones were the premier, the one called You Don't Want To Know, with the magician, and the one called Frozen where the other doctors in the South Pole.
But back on topic...
Yeah, but Dumbledore does look scary when angry, says JK Rowling. So the new one does somehow fit.

So, they're officially splitting the Deathly Hallows movie, they'll be releasing it over two years.

....Which ticks Ianna off.....like when they didn't bring in Bill or get Fleur to come back.

Cutting Bill and Fleur makes no sense to me as a HP fan but it does make sense to me as a movie goer.

Bah that sentence was cabbagety.
Nothing to see here, move along.

I had to reread that....

It didn't make sense to me as either. If they can add the stupid scene in Goblet of Fire about Hermione telling Harry about the Ron told Parvati to tell Romilda to Dean to tell her that...or whatever and her stupid Krum love life then they could keep stuff in.

Well, at least they might have a chance to have all the important stuff from the book now. Im not sure, but I think they'll have Bill and Fleur in DH too.

And David Yates is coming back again...*sigh* I wish it would have been Chris Columbus. Seems to me that he was able to stay faithful to the books for most of the time. Alfonso Cuaron is ok and I don't really mind David Yates either, just as long as it wasn't going to be Mike Newell again. Not that I don't like the director, but...GoF was my least fav HP movie. <_<

And as long as John Williams *hopefully* comes back to compose the film score too...=D Then again, his age might be a problem, so can't really blame him if it doesn't turn out to be him.

I really wish it would have been Peter Jackson or he guy who did Pan's Labyrinth whose name I can't spell, though I can say it.

Ya, I found that absolutely stupid too. Better to have cut it & put something about S.P.E.W.
Well, since the split is official, part 1 of DH should include what & part 2 what?

A bigger question would be where should they split the book...You don't want the first part to end up with a pointless cliffhanger at the end.
