I think you need to have the images hosted on a website somewhere to be able to place them directly in the forum but I'm not sure. I don't think that you can upload directly from a computer, if that's what you are trying to do.

Yes, images have to be hosted elsewhere before you can show them on the site. I mostly use www.imageshack.us for hosting myself, but other good hosts include Picasa and Flickr. From any of these you'll be able to get the URL of the uploaded image and post it on this site in [img] tags.

Well, I like it but Kitty has a questioning/pondering look. Why? And her eyes are a bit too slanted. And I don't know if she is the sort to wear that kind of a top. Still, very good.

Actually, Kitty is supposed to look pondering because she has yelled at Barty, but her "enemy" reacts like a gentleman and seems very pleased about her hitting his master ... about her top - which is supposed to be a windbreaker - I agree: It's not the right thing. I'm still trying to find her fashion style.

JAKOB - I've had to do many sketches before I've got him right. I wanted him to be somewhat cool, even tough he's fat and smelly: I mean, he is so pathetic that he doesn't care to be abducted by a magician. Plus, he has worse hair than Natty which is a remarkable achievement. And he has these bedsocks ... I love every scene with Natty and Jakob, I've drawn several of them and I might do more than I've planed, because I just love to draw Jakob:

Nick looks a lot like I thought he would =D. The face is marvellous. But the eyes are a bit slanted.

At long last, I'm back. Didn't feel like doing anything, not even scanning my illustrations. I've drawn this mangastyle Kitty tough - or at least I think that this might be Kitty. I'm totally stuck with her design, maybe it helps to do something else with her before I try again to draw her in my style.

Also, that's how my colored art looks like - outside of the eyes, I was too lazy to paint mangastyle. I used my messy but comfortable colouring style: I usually colour everything on the same layer rather than using a separate layer for every detail, like you have to do it, when you colour things mangastyle.

I'm feeling experimental: after Manga-style Kitty, I present you Somewhat Realistic Nathaniel.
Nathaniel, clearly Book 3 because of the short hair. Technically, he doesn't belong in this thread, but I don't feel like starting another tread just because of this experimental portrait. I started the drawing with no idea what I would get in the end. And I'm very happy with the result - even tough Nathaniel doesn't look British enough. At a point he looked like an Egyptian, and I had to think of every British stereotype to get it the way he is now. But I really like how his expression turned out: Contemplative and haughty on the same time. I think that's perfect for John Mandrake. (The haughty bit is also very British: They are very good at looking down their nose at you ;p)
