I hardly like Harper obviously. We need to find something to replace our aging jets, as well as beginning to consolidate our military. The ones he bought are far overpriced for our needs. When I say consolidate, I don't mean we should be the next military superpower, but Martin goddamn slashed their budget so much that my friends still joke that our army is a guy in an inflatable boat. The prison system is lame, and the only thing I'd knock against him. But the tax cuts, long gun registry, and vote subsidies are pretty atypical of Conservative policies - they're hardly a surprise. But he's without a doubt superior to Ignatiaff.

I seriously don't like any of the parties though.

But seriously, good for them, this whole SOPA thing is ridiculous; it's like the orphan works act all over again. The sad thing is, even if it gets voted down this time, the entertainment industry is going to keep introducing acts like this until they get somewhere.

They'll keep on trying until they finally go out of business. I can't see that there's any realistic hope of them actually adapting now.

It's a good thing I rarely need Wikipedia for homework right now anyway. Now, if Google Image search went down... But then if Google blacked out too, this could be over quicker.

Speaking of which, I think I just danced in my chair a bit. It's not over yet, though.

In other news... Not sure how I feel about the pipeline though. On the one hand, the environmental effects caused by the oil sands are ghastly, but this won't stop us just shipping the oil somewhere else. Plus it's less 'cancelled' than 'delayed'.

This is getting better by the day.

I wasn't able to convince it to give me the view of my articles I wanted when I last tried a couple of weeks ago. (I want a full-text, oldest first stream of all my items.) The Old Reader is still having teething problems, but it's not bad and will hopefully be pretty good by the time the Reader shutdown comes.
