Rule1:No Weapons. Rule2:Fight to the death. Who would win?!

Bartimaeus
Nat
Mercenary
FOOTSTOOL
Not long...Bart would knock Verroq to the ground with a detonation, and then snap his neck before he has a chance to react

Don't know about that, probably longer depending on the circumstances. You musn't underestimate Verroq. But I still think Bart would win. Remember when Verroq was chasing Nat in PG, and was attacked by the shadow djinn? He was almost choked to death, and only escaped with the use of his silver weapon. Of course, he could have just escaped by kicking off the boots, but he didn't realise. Hmm. Maybe the fight could be a short one after all?

There were a lot of shadows, though, this being possibly the most secure place in the country.. there's only one of Bart.

Good point. Maybe the fight will last longer after all.

I think DC's explanation's probably the easiest way for Bart to win, assuming he does.
Which he won't, but it's nice to dream :)

I'm afraid you're going to have to justify that statement.

Which one, that DC was right, or that Bart probably won't win?

Haha. Well I guess if Bartimaeus smashed the footstool over Verroq, then it could be termed (loosely) as winning.

But it would break too. Verroq's skull might probably be as thick as one can make it.

I was right. =D

This is awesome how Footstool wins the vote at 15, to Bartimaeus's 10
Apollo's been spamming the votes again...

Sixteen votes now. ^-^ Don't see how Apollo could have spammed it, seeing as it allows only one votes per member. The footstool's just awesome.

The footstool's only winning because it's too stupid to fight!
And they don't know it's there.
Or it's genius enough to do that...
Dunno.

Nathaniel kind of inadvertantly kills the mercenary in the book, but then Barty could kill him. Then Bart and the footstool would have to fight it out to the death..
