Than Ptolemy.

And all the other characters if we have to get technical...

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

He lacked a lot of his self-confidence though. And his conscience, in book two.
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

He did something no man or demon had done. Not even Ptolemy.

I went with Bartimaeus. but it was a close run thing with the footstool. I like his style...

I voted for Kitty, still my favorite.
There is a sort of busy worm,
That will the fairest book deform,
Their tasteless tooth will tear and taint
The poet, patiot,sage or saint,
Nor sparing wit nor learning.
Now, if you'd know the reason why,
The best of reasons I'll supply;
'Tis bread to this poor vermin.

That's what makes Nat intresting.

And he freed those spies.

I voted for Barti (duh he rocks) and Faquarl and the footstool. I think that faquarl was a really good character and I was sad when he got killed off. I like the footstool refrence thats cool! Nice poll btw

Definately Nathaniel!

Faquarl got killed off at the very end, though, so it was better than him dying in the first book like Jabor.

Well yes.

Being a victim of Bartimaeus's humour always makes you funny.

To others.
But good point!

But the others isn't me, which is what counts.

Your point, I mean.
I was simply implying that it wouldn't be nescicarily(sorry, spelling was never my strong point) funny to the victim of the humor. Well, acctually... it might be...

Though you might burst into tears.

If you were weak.

Yep. It would have been pretty funny if Faquarl started crying and whining every time Bartimaeus made some witty insulting retort at him.
