I probably wouldn't mind as much if Ianna was PM. LOL. I hope her djinn survived, I kinda liked Shubit.
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

Shubit got a job as a taxidermist.

When Whitwell died, he vanished.

Unless they resummed him...

where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

I think Whitwell was one of my favourite characters too. She's just seems cool. Although as I can't vote for her I'd choose nat, since he seems to want (in some places) what's best for the country and the people (well, at least it bits).

I think he is almost always thinking of the country.

The always part is himself.

And the almost thinking of the people.

When you reread the trilogy you see that he's different from the other magicians even if they don't see him as such. He does have SOME concern for the country and not just his reputation. It's just hard to see, beneath his arrogant prattiness.

Yes.

Unless of course, you love Nat as a character and can see the good in him some of the time.

My fav character is Nathaniel, for the simple reason that I loved the transformation of Nat into John and then into Nat. Barti didn't seem human enough (for obvious reasons), Ptolemy, I simply didn't know him enough and, I gotta be honest, Kitty is a bit of a hypocrite. Yes, the Resistance was fighting for ideals, but they were doing the same thing magicians were: killing and hurting people.

Plus, the Resistance pissed me off when they took Nat's scrying disk. There, I said it <_<

They stole a 'lil baby imp. ZOMG!!

Kitty didn't know any better. But I think she learned her lesson.

Fangirl, Phoenix? :P

They stole from an innocent, little boy ._. And it took him a while to make that disk, too.

I like Whitwell simply because I'd like to see someone practical and intelligent in a book who isn't evil. It would help make the book more realistic though it would be boring if they were the hero.

I'm fairly sure she was evil. She was part of the government, after all.

If she was evil, she was the least evil of the bunch...

Ok, well maybe a tad bit more than slightly, but still the least corrupt of the bunch...

Nat was probably a slight influence on her

Probably, but still, she's one of the least corrupt of the lot.
