I refuse to talk to anyone who hasn't read the Bartimaeus Trilogy. Guess I'm not going to be able to ask my mom for that raise in my allowance... School might be hard too...

I used the second one when I'm talking quickly, it saves time.
Otherwise, the correct one's for me.

I always thought it was pronounced bar-tee-may-us, but I didn't think that some people would pronounce it in other ways too.

My friend kept correcting me whenever I said Nat's name wrong though.

Gingerale2711 got me perfectly soo . . .

If you sound it out it's quite obviously Bar-tee-may us or even possibly Bart-ah-may-us, but when I say it it just comes out Bart-ah-mus.

I'd perfer to be Anne. She seems to be more capable, and I think she could see auras, right? Or was it extra planes?

She could see auras, I believe. I recall her commenting on the glow of Gladstone's burial goods. Much good it did her.

Perhaps...
Or the aura of the other stuff would have blended with Honorious's aura.

I dunno, an Afrit's aura can't exactly be puny...
Do you think she recognized the Staff's power?

Definitely. At least 2 marid power strength. That would blank out an afrit's power. Or the tomb had some kind of spell to block aura.

Hmmmm, that would be useful...
