Im surprised that I havent seen someone type the name of this series here. I love Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl series and the Twilight Saga and Maximum Ride too and Alex Rider.

Definetily Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Battle Royale. BR was awesome as a book, I don't understand why they had to make the movies. (OK the first was kinda cool but the second was awful. The book was the best.)

Edit:

BL rulzz, I was reading Devil's Bride on maths lesson, and when the teacher was approaching I put it on my maths book, she came to me to check the exercise, and took a look at the 'nice' cover of the manga... *khm* I don't think she thinks I'm normal. o.Ó"

There are alot of books I love but when it comes to sheer FANATICALNESS I was crazy about Harry Potter. I wouldn't walk around school with a wand but I did dress as Luna for Halloween once. She made a great costume lol (bottle cap necklace, wand behind her ear). Maybe cause it was the first series I really liked (being a little young). I tried reading Hitch Hikers guide a long time ago but after a few pages (like 30pages- I tried!) I got bored =(.
probably The Beach by Alex Garland, unless lonely planet books count for thier sheer usefulness to me.
Mindi Jackson , I think I'm in love. Now I just need to get famous.
