Never really talked to him. Except today I asked him if he's ever heard of the Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathon Stroud.

He replied, "No, but it sucks."

Figures.
;)

I recommend firm, precise blows to the face.

I don't think that he would appreciate that.

Helped somewhat by me, I imagine...

And would anyone appreciate a blow to the head? Unless they were into S&M?

To Kill a Mockingbird was a great book. I can't believe I only read it last year for school, surely I should have come across it before then.

And to go off topic even more, I had to pay 51 dollars in library fines today. Wasn't as bad as my bill the year before, something around $65.

I never use the library. ;)

And to June: No. There were no good pigs. Snowball represents Trotsky, with his permanent revolution ideas. The other pig was bad as well.

Meh. Animal Farm was sad. 1984 was chilling.

Animal Farm had more of a depressing mood to it.

Yet to read 1984. What's it about?

Edit: Was George Orwell a democratic socialist?

Well, Snowball was played in a less evil light than most other characters. In the book. And considering the context, that counts as 'good'.

Hmm. Read Animal Farm, didn't quite like it. Then again, that was when I was ten.

Some people are just scary. I know a girl who read it. Her reaction? "It's about animals. Cute."

She probably didn't understand the purpose of the book, and it's blatant overtones. I don't know how, it's written all over the back...

If you don't read the back and don't know anything about the history of the USSR I can kinda see how that would happen. I believe the scientific term is "over her head like an intergalactic albatross". (spot the reference, kids!)

Meh, I doubt she knows the general history of the last two years. Heck, I doubt she knows anything at all. Damm hot, though. :D

Nope, and it's not Terry Pratchett either. Try try again.
