I wouldn't really call shipping a genre though.
And Luciene already said she's not going to do it.

OKay.
Those for having a genre post that, those against having a specific genre each time post that.
hi there
Well, it doesn't merely have to have just one genre. You could write a fic with a mix of genres, but include the one required.
It's just that I hate voting not knowing what to pick. A story that makes your gut hurt because it's so LOL funny versus a story that makes you cry your heart out would both be very nice fics, in different ways.
Wait, would the polls allow you to choose more then one fic?

You can choose multiple options if you set up the poll right, but you can't rank them.

A still more glorious dawn awaits, not a sunrise, but a galaxy rise, a morning filled with 400 billion suns - the rising of the Milky Way
We could alternate. Like the writers pick the genre one month and the next month the readers choose. It might not work out tho, because if the authors don't like the genre, they might not write, and then there would be less people entering.
I think if we had a competition runner it would be best, one person who decides what the stories will be on and (assuming this is decided) what genre they will be.
Needless to say, I vote for a specified genre, it makes it more of a challenge and expands writing ability.
I think it should be random, instead of one person choosing. Or readers can vote. It would be more fair.
Well, I'm game either way, but I'm going to have to vote specified genre.

I'd read anything. Even N/K, but I'd change it to J/J in my mind. I'm looking forward to the Humour fics tho...
Oh, now that you mention it, there's this hilarious fic called
Terms of Endearment. Be warned though, it's N/K.

It's SOOO long. Have you read any good One-shots? The only good JJ one I read was John and Jane Doe.
Well, I know one with Jane Farrar. Not really shippy with John, but if you deliberately misinterpret enough, you might catch a glimpse of her undying love for him.

I deliberatly misinterperate everything. I ship DG remember?
And what's it called? I'll find it on FF.net
It's called
Survival by Contrarian. (again)

So she is a werewolf? I thought my brother was joking when he started singing "Werewolfs of London" when ever I started talking about her...
It's really good tho. I reviewed.
Jane isnt full wolf, the book has a special word for them but i cant remember what it is...begins with "a" i think.
Competition wise, i dont really get this whole "fair" thing, competitions are meant to have rules and a framework you work with...
But she's part wolf rite? That really sucks. But where did it say that? I never read it...
And the word isn't animorphs is it?
Lycanthropes? Hybrids?

Im not sure, i lent out all of my BT books so i cant reference it...
Buh. Jane, a werewolf? Does not sit well with me at all. I've always thought of her as being highly skilled in the assassiny arts. Duvall sent her to a special training academy in Japan when she was a girl. She was able to surpass her wolfy counterparts and rise through the ranks in that way. For an idea of my warped vision of Jane, see Kill Bill. *is totally warped by that movie* o.o
Luciene: reading those reviews, I totally understand why you're mad at them. >.> But somehow I can get myself to understand how they feel, because she's just so 2D in the books. Comparing her to the Death Eaters was a bit too much though. *fume*
Nothing to see here, move along.
