I'm with you on that.

It's upset me for two years now, or three.

...either I am not a passionate reader or I missed something in the book to have you all sniffing, or some people are very emotional...
Well, Nat's death was defiantly unexpected, and sad. But it was a honerable ending to an amazing trilogy. :D

Most thought he would make it through, Bart and Nat all the way. They must have been disappointed.

I connected with Nat....I too had an insane music teacher.

Anyway, the point is I get emotionally tied to character and why they die, I cry.

You should look into social affairs as a future career.
And currently, I don't understand what you music teacher has anything to do with Nat.
Edit: OHHH!!!! Now I get it. I wouldn't call insane. More like one who needs to go to a weight loss program and anger management problem facility at the same time.

yeah same here. also whenever something sad is going to happen in a movie, i start crying all of a sudden. hehe guess u can call me very emotional now. =D

plus, it's like the first time since the death of a fictional character really got into me. i mean nat's one of the main characters and u know how they go on about "the main character never dies". i rarely read any books where a main character never survives during the story. and just when i was about to like him for dropping his stuck up john mandrake persona too!

ugh, i don't think that makes sense. i guess words can't describe how i feel about nat's death right now. :hmm:
"I witnessed an astronomical event, something as I watched I know I'd never see again. Pure truth." (House)
Yeah I do too. Although I must admit, I cried more for Dustfinger (Inkworld books) than Nat. I mean I like Nat, but . . . Dustfinger!

Well, it was quite obvious Dustfinger had to die - it was predicted at the beginning.
And I am sure, he would come back again, afterall, Farid promised that to Meggie.
Nat's death was completely unexpected & he's not going to come back. That's what makes it even more sad. And also, Dustfinger was'nt as major as a character as Nat was.

The ending was brilliant. Not a cliche, and so... sad...

But once the movie comes out, it will be a cliche because they'll all be stunned!

:D
Yes, Stroud did it so good, we have have nightmares of his death and daydreams of his reincarnation.

Ummm...
Clearly my fandom isn't as...evolved as yours...
Or perhaps I didn't have as much of an attachment...
Either way, the movie ending will be a shoker for those who haven't read it.

I voted F. The ending was amazing, even though it was sad.

Attachment is forbidden. Possession is forbidden. Compassion -- which I would define as?unconditional love -- is essential to a Jedi's life. So, you might say that we are encouraged to love.
