Here we go...a topic discussing Dumbledore's death. I personally don't like the fact that he died, i understand that it was for the purpose of the story, but it has kind of killed off one of the characters who made the books what they are.

Your thoughts?

HBP sucked for many reasons, this is one of them.

Well, clearly if Dumbledore was still alive in book seven, he'd be able to protect Harry from Voldemort. Since Harry is clearly going to be killed, Dumbledore had to be removed.

And Harry is going to be killed.

haha you seem pretty certain of that. It wouldnt suprise me if JK didnt kill harry off now because it is rather obvious that he will die. She may want us to think that Harry's death is inevitable and then go against this to suprise the reader...

Harry living would just be far too cliche an ending - good guy wins, everyone lives happily ever after, blah blah.

I hate those kinds... then there is always the possibility of him being alive... meaning the posibility of another book. DIE DIE DIE DIE!!!

Indeed. I am not hoping for that however, i would like a straight answer on whether JK will write anymore HP books after seven. But i am pretty sure she has said there will not be...

Maybe^^ but he is already pretty depressed from Dumbledores and Sirius's deaths. The book would have to go really dark and miserable to make Harry even sadder.

Kill everyone, leave him be the last of all humanity.
