Do you like Nathaniel?

Amulet Of Samarkand
bookfan Mouler
Throughout my reading of the trilogy I was rooting for Nathaniel. I felt for the poor kid. He had no one to turn to, his only caring, mother figure was killed by Lovelace, and he was pretty much raised harshly. That was the only reason why he turned into the cold John Mandrake. But even then I was still hoping that things would turn out better for him and that he would do the right, good thing. And finally, when he does do something good and selfless, he just has to die, doesn't he???

What are your opinions on his character? Did you like him, or were you one of the people who hated him and thought he was a bad guy?

I always thought of him as a good guy.
In GE he was just a good person influenced by surroundings and his need to survive.
His being a jerk in GE is because of that.
I like how he ended up redeeming himself in the end, and giving Bartimaeus the greatest gift of all.

to be honest Nathaniel was my favourite character with Bartimeus very close behind. in GE i was sick of reading Kitty's chapters they bored the hell outta me. Nathaniel had the most action (figuratively speaking of course :) )
I liked Nat in AoS and PG, but the way he acted and treated Bart in GE made me feel like I wanted to smack him...

aww bless Nat... i always thought he was pretty cool... specially as he made most of the jokes happen XD
Go bluer now, a royal hue, and look for information.
Who they are, their age and such should be your inclination.
But who but who? I hear you cry.

Nat is a very interesting character. Sometimes, when he is the subject of Bartimaeus's jokes, he is a cool character, but when he's mistreating Bart, I think he's evil.

In the first book, I think Nathaniel sounds so cute I want to pinch his cheeks off! (By the way, the ones on his face).

No, on second thought, that would be very strange.
Yes. That's the point where you need to start seriously questioning your sanity. :P

Ooohhh... Maybe we can finally get a newbie to stick then, don't think we've had one since DC. Though that Asmoral looks like a good candidate. Edit: Honorius too.

I love how I'm estimating long time member potential when I could be studying for an insanely hard test. :P

Edit: Is it just me, or is this page all stretchy?

Asmoral's a keeper.
I want to see Amuletta post some more before I say anything, but she's got potential.
I look for those with good questions and opinions.

And... stretchy how?
Thinking on it, yes, but I don't understand how.

What song is your sig from?
I remember the tune but not the name...

Hey Jude.

By stretchy I mean the posts have a greater width than usual. And only on the first page.

They're like that on all the pages fo me.
It's most noticable where the posts meet the ads at the bottom.
I thought it was a consequence of using an old computer and Firefox 2.

It's slightly stretched for me. By about in inch.

I couldn't have said it better.
Edit-By about an inch! Kudos to you for being able to find a difference. ;)
