We're not. We were out of the Ice Age like...a while ago!

So I guess it depends.... And Post, even at the height of the last ice age, it didn't get as far south as where you are.

Isn't that contradicting what you said about being in the Ice Age?

I'm stating two possible views on it, I personally feel the Glaciological definition is best.

Basically, the scientific definition of an ice age is there being ice sheets at the poles. However, in general usage, we mean by "ice age" the times when most of the northern hemisphere was covered in ice.

Scientifically we are. However, using the normal meaning of ice age, we're not.

It's been 12C at night around here. That's not natural. That's spring/autumn temperatures.

It's really happening, at any rate.

I haven't gotten any snow at all execpt a little that melted as soon as it hit the ground. It's January 11th. By now we've had at least 6 snow days, but this year we haven't had a single one. We're experiancing El Nino, but I think it's more of global warming then anything.

Sad. The big people are too ignorant to realize what's going on, and the little people know exactly what's going on but don't have a voice loud enough to be heard.

*grumble* And now the big three American car manufacturers have said that global warming is nothing to worry about and we should buy more big heavily polluting cars. *sigh* The boss of Daimler-Chrysler actually said that the Germans in its Stuttgart office were overreacting etc.

I hate how Americans always brush stuff off and say its nothing to worry about, or not important, Then everyone is making such a big deal over "The War in Iraq" how Bush has no right to send more troops over there. People need to get their heads out of their asses and stop complaining, when they are only doing it for attention or to just hear themselves talk.

Edit- Sorry about that, We just had this discussion in World Culture, and no one has good reasoning behind their stances and that makes me mad, when they can't back up what they say.

Are you an American, Adele?

I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.
