I've tried EVERYTHING. I've listened to Christmas songs, watched those kiddy Christmas shows, decorated the tree, even caroling. And I still don't feel that warm fuzzy thing I used to. Advice? If I don't get into the spirit and I won't be getting any presents from my parents and they always give me cool stuff that I don't really need but want anyway! I NEED HELP!

I realized that I usually don't come on unless, I want to talk about Inheritance, so I think I should be more active. So I wuill try to give you some advice.

How much more in the Christmas spirit do you need to be, you guys have a snowball fight going down here. If your mom doesn't belive you are in the spirit, send out lots of Greeting Cards, and help her around the house without her having to aske. When she asks what is up with you, just tell her you are in the Christmas Spirit and you want to be more helpful.

Well... I don't feel the Christmas Spirit either but I felt it when I decorated the lamp. You should try it... ^-^

I feel the chirstmas spirit when my mom locks herself in her room to wrap presents, even though I hand picked all my presents, lol.

So um...just stare are the tree and go "oooh, pretty lights!" and start rocking back a forth humming some christmas songs, lol.

Um, not only is my family very secular, we don't buy into the whole secular commercial aspect of Christmas. Meaning...we don't do the present-buying thing.
Also, I don't get snowy winter scenes. All this=Most boring holiday ever.

bah, i havent felt christmassy since they stopped doing those christmas lessons at the end of term in school. I think we got them till year 8.

Edit: The afrit has got into the spirit of things (see santa hat)

I volunteered at the old age home. Didn't help since the old people were falling asleep on me, but it does give you a slight fuzzy feeling inside.

i wanted to do that (DofE, selfish reason) but they made me look after rich brats instead. They were writing christmas lists. most had 'Dear Santa, I want a moblie phone, a laptop, a car, 'insert items you couldnt afford in your wildest dreams here' x10' on them

Of course, if nothing works, I recommend reading the DG Christmas fics for the contest. They're awesome!!

pay money to do it. spend LOTS of money on equipment. use up ALL your free time. waste your WEEKEND walking through mud.

and you get a Cabbagety (really Cabbagety, a not shiny plastic looking thing) badge and i *think* a certificate but im not too sure about that, at the end.

Ohh..Duke of Edinburgh, I wanted to do it but I have no time, my friend loved it and it looks really good on your resume/uni applications. Plus you get to go canoing. Ours is free tho...

Its a foolish commercial holiday. You are right not not to feel the Christmas, because there is none!
Its a terrible time of the year. And the only thing that makes it worth while is that food gets cheap afterward.

So agree with you Eternity.

I might have to work (veterinary nurse, starting tomorrow) through Christmas. Big whoop... Some animals are going to get belly trouble.
