BREAKING NEWS - New Barti Book

General Discussion
Er, if you are going by prime numbers, it ought to be 357,111 (cutting 13 as we are taking only 6 digits). Because 1 is not a prime number & you skipped 11.

flooping 'eck YES!

Yeah I swore. The situation warrants it.

This made my day.
Gah! Damn swear filter.
With any luck, I'll be going into first year uni. Of course, that means I'll have no money to buy the book, so you all will have to pitch in and buy it for me. Mind you, since Canada sucks, it'll probably be out a few months later.

Oh yeah, almost forgot: Bragging Time

I thought something was up when I read this bit in the journal:
wrote:Otherwise I’m working on a new project, which I hope will gel over the summer months. Since it’s too early to talk much about it, here instead are a few of the books on the shelf above my desk:

Chambers Dictionary
The Penguin Historical Atlas of Ancient Civilisations
The Arabian Nights
Oxford Dictionary of English Folklore
Dictionary of the Bible
Procopius’ The Secret History
The Koran
A History of the Arab Peoples
Boethius: The Consolation of Philosophy
Herodotus: The Histories
Dictionary of the Ancient Near East

Think this'll come out around the same time as this supposed graphic novel? Or is that pressing our luck?

I should stop talking now...

So very, very, very far away! :o
And yet, just think, only a fraction of ours lives, and we'll spend it waiting earnestly for the book! =D

Can't wait!

*gasp* I never even dreamed this day would be possible

The only way this could be better, is if he dedicated the book to the good people of Bartiforums.

After all, we're the only people still talking about it. We keep the spirit of Bartimaeus alive! If we didn't congregate on this forum, he'd wouldn't realize how fabulous we find all this and he'd never release anything BT related again.

Edit: Also, did you notice in the Sept 1st entry, he said he met with a person named Adele.

Good people of Bartiforums. Who fits that definition? Not anyone I know. Better say, the crazy people of Bartiforums.

Is Adele's name Adele?

I better be careful before I start divulging personal information to you. =p
All stalkers here. But like Sent once said, REAL stalkers don't need to ask.

On a side note, I really hope the new project is called 'The Return of Queezle.' Do we know what it's about?
Look, Queezle.

Tying in with Luciene, maybe if it's dedicated to us, we'll get free copies...

Doubtful. But I can dream, can't I?

PS: Usually only really popular books and non-fantasy/sci-fi books get here on time.

Some things just tend to stick in my mind.

And DC, I don't divulge much information on Facebook.

You know a lot more too. I am sure it will be easy for you to stalk me if you feel the need to. But I am sure you don't. :D

Wow, Queezle7 was actually here.
And...
Ah screw it, I'm fairly liberal with information.
Kinda.
I know awhile back I posted quite a bit on here, but my MySpace shows enough to warrant worry on my parent's part, if they bothered paying attention.

I just finished Ptolemy's Gate tonight. I was desperately hoping I'd find a forum like this one. I hope JS expands on the idea that Kitty is now some sort of unique hybrid herself. He makes a point of mentioning how picking up the silver disk pained her. She is a spirit and a human in a sense, no?

Would someone recommend a Stroud book to read next while I wait a year for the new Barti book?

Best regards
