I think it's one of the best Ending's to a Series of it's caliber that I've read in a long time.
It somewhat reminds me of LotR, where they all set sail...
Which is about it when it comes too comparisons with other books, it's one hell of a unique series, and one of my favorite ever.

well said. all the other books are good too, but bartimaeus stands out a lot in terms of the plot. too bad it's not famous as HP or LOTR. i mean Stroud should get more recognition for writing such a good series...and the ending! how many times have people seen that kind of ending in other books? :D

but anyway, i especially like the conversations between bart and kitty. that might not be the best moment for bart himself, but it was good still.

That was still a good moment, just not particularly good for Bart, which is what you meant I"m guessing.

I voted for the Kitty talk Bartimaeus had, and I also think the ending part was also a best moment. When Nathaniel died. Very sad moment, but I really think Nathaniel and Bartimaeus had a bond as friends. The ending paragraph proves it all.
