What happened in the Farquarl chapter that everone seems to like so much?

I voted for the Book III ending. I think I have other 'favourite' moments, that I can't remember, and I definitely will have to reread the trilogy sometime. The ending though, I thought, was perfect. I was hoping fervently that Nat would dismiss Bartimaeus before he did the deed (because Nat is one of my favourite fictional characters ever, and I wanted him to do something noble at the end; and because Barty dying would dampen the emotional impact, if only because it was unnecessary), and I was so glad when he did, and terribly sad. It's definitely one of my most treasured book endings (I've been disappointed by far too many, or at least, remained nonchalant).

AkRene, if you haven't looked it up already, that was the chapter where Farquarl imprisoned Barty in the silver tureen. I thought that was one of the more ingenious plot points.

Oh, that! Yeah, I liked that too. It gave a nice perspective to the "über brave" vs. "most promising course of action" dilemma for heroes.

I voted for the Ending of book III as well as his talk with kitty. Idk why, but the talk seemed very important, seeing as how it was the first time in two thousand one hundred and twenty nine years that he had had a meaningful conversation with someone who summoned him, so kudos to kitty for that.
