The villagers had once again gathered in the village hall. There was palpable fear in the air and the villagers were unusually silent. Seven Pentacle's death had shocked them all. The strangling, the bite marks and claw marks left little doubt as to who was the murderer.
Gladstone walked to the dais and asked all the villagers to form a line and cast their votes in the ballot box. The villagers stood and waited as each person scribbled the name of the villager they felt was responsible and deposited the slip of paper. They were all too preoccupied with their thoughts to notice a fly hovering near the box.
Once everyone had cast their votes, the villagers crowded around the tiny box. They wondered whose names would be read out and wished they could (once again) correctly identify the wolf. Just as eager hands moved towards the box, there was huge detonation. The villagers jumped back in shock. The ballot box had exploded and there was the smell of burnt paper in the air. Before they could gather their wits, Aether attacked them with inferno, detonations, convulsions and spams. The villagers all ran helter-skelter, abandoning their friends and tools. Some of them had got injured. Still they managed to run to their respective houses and bolt their doors. In the utter pandemonium, no one had glimpsed the spirit or seen the wolf who controlled it. But it mattered little to them now. A wolf who was protected by a spirit! How much more worse could it get?
