No one linked to Rinian? (oh wait, I see s/he's already been added) http://rinian.deviantart.com/

^On that note, who started the blue hair Bartimaeus trend?
D'you think Kitty likes Hello Kitty?

ButButBut Ptolemy is hot -and, therefore, so is Barti-!!

Nope. Nat's eyes are dark. But hey, this is called fan art, and not official art, for a reason.
Same with Barti's blue hair. Which is awesome, IMO.

and how most people seem to like barti having gold cat eyes even though their described as dark. :D[/quote]

....wait! nat has dark eyes! it doesn't say that in the book! damn, I've drawn them wrong...well, coloured them wrong.

thats means most all of the main characters in the book not only have dark hair but also dark eyes. *sigh*

( so thats nathaniel, barti, kitty, ptolemy, Jakob and jane farrar (ok so she has green eyes) . also verroq [did he have blue eyes?]. ok, so thats all the young main cast that means anything.)

Added some, there was this one old Barti art I liked but I can't find it on DA anymore, Its all purple and its just bartimaeus' face and a pentacle in the background and he is looking back a little

Yeah, Verroq's eyes were blue -ice blue, if I recall correctly. Btw, the name annoys me. It's like it popped out of nowhere. Mercenary fit him better.
Farrar's hair was black in GE and brown in PG. :P . Or the other way round.

That's because it's cute and hot and pretty much canon.

Looks like someone has a thing for them Egyptian boys. Don't worry, you're in good company.

Ohgod.
I just realised that I'm old enough now that my perpetual crush on Ptolemy is getting a bit weird.
I've grown up with these books; it feels like the characters should always be older than me! Screw being 16, I'm building a time machine. D:
Maybe thats why adults dont enjoy childrens books as much? :D

Farrar's hair was brown in GE, black in PG. I like her better with brown hair. :U
Either way, author appeal I guess. Or that it just seems that all kid's urban fantasy books have dark-haired heroes.

Hey, did you know?
The name Bartimaeus is said to mean “Son of Talmai”
which is an Aramaic version of the Greek name Ptolemy.
Also, Bartholomew, a more common variation of Bartimaeus, was a saint who often went by the name Nathaniel.

Nah, Ptolemy is just cute. Bartimaeus is hot.
...Am I discussing the attractiveness of fictional characters on the internet? I really need to get out more.
Probably.

But don't worry too much, there's much worse on the internet.
