This is the latest reply ever, but personally I like them as just books.

I think a lot of the charm would be lost if it were made into an anime or a manga really.

I found the main trio's anime look-alikes!!! - Well, at least that is how I picture them.

Barti is Chrno, from the anime/manga Chrno Crusade. Tan-skinned, somwhat Egyptian looking, -he's got a braid!! I love braids 8D-, and elf ears. Chrno is a demon -well, let's say "spirit".

Nathaniel is Kaname Kuran, from the anime/manga Vampire Knight. Kaname is haughty and acts rather coldly towards everyone -and has long girly hair, xD. Sounds familiar?. Kaname is a pure blood vampire, he's powerful and everybody respects him.

Kitty is Kuchiki Rukia, from the anime/manga Bleach. She's absolutely bad@$$, kick@$$ and likes to punch his best friend/unconfirmed lover. She's got dark, short hair, and a messed up family life.

Yeah, that is nice. The profiles match wonderfully, but Natty could have been less good-looking.

And I thoght he was the most liked minister amongst commoners because of his looks.

Yep, I think the word 'intoxicating' was in there in PG to describe his good looks (either him or Jane, can't remember. But Mandrake was supposed to be fangirlworthy.)

Wish I could pull out my book to quote exactly but I'm going to be moving out of my mom's house and the book is already stashed in my suitcase. Mwahahaha.

Haa, not too bad on the lookalikes....I must say though--I will probably annoy someone, but what can I say?--I don't particularly like the style of the graphic novel that is coming out as some indeterminate time in the future. It just looks kind of...grimy? The art is lovely, but it doesn't seem to do the visual description of the novel justice. Barty's first incarnation had me thinking childishly along the lines of, "Wtf, he looks like an evil Furby, not a 'boiling pillar of smoke with YELLOW EYES'." But I digress.

A manga-ish adaption...I suppose if done with the intentionality and talent of a very dedicated artist and writer, it could be done, as with any medium. However, the manga adaptions of books that I've seen, such as the Plotless Chliche-Storm Ghost-Written Mess Maximum Ride or the Dangerous Days of Daniel X have been pretty, but without substance. They just can't seem to do it justice.

That is there. But sometimes, I don't honestly as far as something or the other comes out. I just want more people to read and know about the books. It is truly awful that it isn't read by many more.

God i hate manga. I'm an illustrator so i like something with a bit of style and flare rather than:

A: manga/anime =horrifically overdone and rated.

B: realistic/superhero style which has no originality what-so-ever.

honestly i'd prefer the art for the graphic novel to be something more like what the artemis fowl series looks like. http://artemisfowl.fangathering.com/new ... -previews/

as long as they don't butcher the characters like the artist for that one. God i so would've loved them graphic novels more if they would've kept to the character designs.

but yeah. I want them to look something like that.
