we got told an old girl couldnt come and sit with us in the entrance of our boarding house. instead we were told we could go to school with here. this meant instead of sitting in a hall with staff we were running round a huge empty building. it was fun :D we played retro risk and made up our own rules!

Yes, unfortunately, having a society everyone's equal in does not work when you also have leaders. You can't force everyone to be equal because that makes the people doing the forcing unequal. Has to be voluntary, hence my philosophy.

Just because a nation is large and powerful does not mean its society is good. It has a vast number of heavily oppressed people and it uses them. As David Mitchell said, if we'd only drop this outdated "sanctity of life" concept we could be doing as well as them..

I guess I would want sort of communist ideals in some areas, but capitalist ideals in others.

It's only outdated to people who believe it's outdated. That's a matter of opinion, as there are many people in the world who believe that life is special. And if we keep "advancing" from sanctity of life, then we will continue to "advance" until life has lost all preciousness and murder is eventually justifiable because the killer had a "bad upbringing" or "had a mental illness." And dropping sanctity of life sure had pretty results in China's cultural revolution.
