Rum jokes. More rum jokes. More rum jokes. Actually, that's the best part of redudancy.
Ok let's get serious....
Movie One:
Will and Elizabeth have obstacles in the way of their relationship:
There's another man...Norrington.
Her Dad.
Then there's the whole crew abandoning Jack.
And more back-stabbing than high school girls.
Movie Two:
Will and Elizabeth still have obstacles in the way....and guess what they are? The only change is Jack looks like the other man to Will.
And still the more back-stabbing than the high school girls.
Not to mention this movie basically was a world record for how many times we can see a ship sail in the water. And waaay too many references to the first movie too many times.
Movie Three:
Guess who's relationship still has obstacles?
And did I mention almost every guy with more than twenty lines has a lust/love for Elizabeth?
And Jack gets abadoned again.
And more back-stabbing.
More flaws:
The screenwriters keep conviently making things more than they appear. In the first movie, the compass seemed to point to "the isle that can't be found" but in the second it became the whole heart's desire thing.
And then the heart ended up having a curse on it in the third.
Now, I'm not saying I don't like these movies, but the first one was so much better than the second and third.
And Spider-man may have flaws too, but not like Pirates.
"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."
