I wanted to be a mathematician, sportsperson, politician & microbiologist. Weird mix, I know:D. I LOVE modern history too (more than any of the above), but I can't stand ancient or medieval history.

My friend's a historian and loves medieval history and hates modern..

I wanted to be a pilot for a good while. Turns out I get viciously airsick flying light aircraft, and also flying is extremely boring..
Now I have no idea what I want to be. At all. I'm hoping I'll have figured it out by the time I finish my course in four years three years, one term..

I'll go for being everything I want, I won't bother explaining it.
I'm going to start out as a web designer, regardless.

Publishing doctor or scientist. I have a firm grip in mathematics, science, and writing, and I want to combine these.

And they earn a lot of $$ too.

First "real" job will probably be at a GameStop. After that, who knows?

I would never work for Nintendo. Microsoft, maybe, but not Nintendo.
Though, I think I'd work for Nintendo before I worked for Apple.

Not necessarily. I've got a friend who's really good, but dirt poor.

I have no idea what I want to do, and have probably about a year and a half to figure it out. *sigh*

not good. What usually ends up happening is a year of procrastination, 6 months of stress and worry, and your final decision will be a rushed, random, and completely unexpected one.

Meh, backup is just go to the nearby college and get a law clerk degree. Sounds like an interesting job, I'd only have to go to school for 2 years, and it pays pretty decently.

*Insert snide remark about "pays pretty decently"*

I have no idea what that implies either.

But if I decide to be a historian, I have to do ancient & medieval history too. Medieval is somewhat bearable but ancient... *shudders*. I'll fail all my exams. But now my aim is to be a microbiologist (from a very young age I had a fascination for micro-organisms). If not, a politician. It's too late to become a sports player or mathematician(I will lose a year).

I don't blame you-I used to shudder at the thought of being a politician 5 months ago. It was the 26/11 attacks which changed my view on many things. Atleast, for that I can be very grateful. Whenever we think of politicians, the first thing which jumps to everyone's mind is a corrupt, inept, immoral, obnoxious group of people who are self-serving & love power & would do anything to grab it. They are stereotyped- but not without reason. But it's the politicians who actually run our life. The way you live your life usually depends on the country you are from, which in turn, is governed by the government. What if, a pro-Tamilian or less hard line government was in power in Sri Lanka now? Would it be facing the worst humanitarian crises? What if Al Gore or John Kerry had ruled US instead of Bush the last 8 years? Would Iraq be in the state it is or would the alleged terrorists be treated the way they were? God knows. What if a more powerful government ruled Pakistan now? Would it face this threat from Taliban (Nawaz Sharif might have done the same, mind you)? But my point here is, the world's present & future depends on the politicians-the government we elect. And unfortunately, the worst lot rule over us. We-the public-need to change that. And we can do that only if people take a genuine interest in politics & join the system. Just like you can't make an omelette without cracking open an egg first, you can't bring about a change in the system without joining it first. I'm not saying I consider myself as an ideal person(far from it) but atleast I am confident I won't follow the path of our stereotypical politicians. So I dream...

What I want to be is a polymath, with enough money to never, ever, have to worry about it again.
That's the best I can do in so short a time, it's taken months for me to figure that out and weeks to explain it properly, learning as I do so.
I don't aspire to be a politician, but a person of power.
Why be in the king's throne when you can whisper in His ear?
Enough Money to make Warren Buffet look mildly affluent; a respected member of a great many professions, arts, and industries...
I want to be a little bit of anything.
Best I can do.
