OK, seriously, that's just f*cked up. Might I respectfully suggest you bugger off to uni in the UK and don't look back?
Would you?
Yes, under those circumstances I think I would.

Yeah, cos all Brits are raving psychopaths out to massacre Americans on sight... you're infinitely more likely to get shot in America cos everybody and their dogs have guns.

I don't see how getting a B makes you thick, especially being one mark of an A...

Once you're in college, you'll already be 18. Don't see what they can do to you Adele...

Honestly, you have a vastly greater chance of dying horribly in the US than the UK - look at the number of murders in the two countries.
Thanks for that.

Of course, you have to take into account that there are more people in the US than there are in Britain. There are more people to be murderers/murdered.

And man, am I glad that I don't have your parents Adele.

The number of murders per thousand is higher in the US. Gun crime in particular is vastly greater than here because everybody and their dogs have guns.

Ah.

I wasn't sure whether or not the ratio was higher.

My friend was born in the US. When she first moved here, she got bullied pretty badly because of it. Mostly because Canadian parents don't bother to tell their kids that most of their America-bashing is a joke and the kids take it too seriously.

You guys seriously American bash?

I thought it was just an international cliche or something...

Gun crime is increasing in the UK. Well so it seems judging from the latest news...
I have this impression that there's more racial tension in the UK than in the US. My Brit lecturer says that Brits take a longer time to warm up to people.

Might be going to Edinburgh this fall.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Gun crime may be increasing, but it's vastly lower than the US because our gun laws are so much tighter, and so most people don't own guns.

And seriously, whoever thinks that Brits take a long time to warm up to people compared to Americans needs to realise that we're not actually stuck in the 1950s, believe it or not.

America-bashing is a joke. But the kids didn't take it as such.

Sent's right, the statistics on gun-violence show a very large gap between the US and most other countries. Although, I don't think that they're number one, they're pretty high up. I'm sure which position they hold, I'll have to check.

Ok, wasn't expecting the music in a quiet library....
I thought for sure I was getting kicked out.

My mom now says that it is not the brits that she is afraid of, but the other terrorists that hang out in other countries that will shoot me.
Just look at the US mom!

I tried to use the "Mom they are helping us in this Iraq war" but I forgot that you were pulling out... great timing <_< . She cuaght it though and told me I need to drop the subject.
