my dog ate two boxes of stupidly expensive chocolate i got for my dad one year D: he was fine.

Guess it kinda depends really... Though it's still probably not good for the dog.

Is milk chocolate bad for dogs too? It's not real chocolate.

Well I'd heard that milk chocolate didn't come from cocoa beans, and wasn't real chocolate.

I once had a friend who had about forty pets at one point.

You heard wrong. All chocolate (even white chocolate) contains cocoa bean products. Definition of chocolate.

White chocolate doesn't contain cocoa beans, only cocoa butter, which is why it is neither brown nor real chocolate.

White chocolate does in fact contain trace amounts of theobromine, but no, not enough to be harmful to dogs. Much like Cadbury's.

I'd assume that trace amounts is right. Trace just means so ridiculously small it might as well not be there.

It contains a ridiculously small amount, should be fine.
Take a very small piece of white chocolate, and give it to a very large dog.
If no effects are observed, then even the dogs' very sensitive digestive system will allow it.

Last year i gave my friend's pomeranian some chocolate (dark) and the next day the poor thing was suffering from a bad case of diarrhea .... :ermm:
