Or being incredibly bright, and not able to write a thing. I have that 3 hour paper too; try adding on up to another 45 minutes. Interestingly enough, whilst you have to stay for the full length of time set for the exam, you don't have to take extra time if you have it. You can leave any time once you're into the extra time boundary.

Aye, I know you don't have to stay for extra time. I think you should, personally. If you get to enjoy extra time on exams without enough time you should damn well have to suffer for it on ones with too much...
I know there are people who legitimately deserve extra time. My issue is with the people who don't and get it, and all sorts of extra support, anyway.

That's fair, I guess. I really struggled before I got it - and only knowing a week before GCSE exams was scary. The thing is, it can be really hard to work out why someone isn't getting the grades that they are capable of. And extra time isn't always the right answer.
