And on the seventh month after the creation, RCB saw the light and became addicted to it.
I wish I were a cat-dragon
i started reading the books like in late 2007 (and like a few months before i joined the forums too)...now i feel really bad
"I witnessed an astronomical event, something as I watched I know I'd never see again. Pure truth." (House)
awww why? :hmm:
cause like the bartimaeus books started around when i was around elementary school to junior high school age. back then, the only fantasy book series i knew were harry potter obviously, lord of the rings, narnia, the golden compass, and eragon. that's it.

now i just got into high school and my friend recommended me to read the amulet of samarkand after 2 months school started (since she was reading it as well). after that, i finished the whole trilogy by the end of winter break. then while i was looking for some bartimaeus related websites, i realized that a lot of ppl knew about the series and that the trilogy ended like a year ago, and i was all like "why haven't i heard about this before?" i just felt like...i got left out or something.

of course, that could happen to some ppl, and bartimaeus is a good series after all, but isn't it sad when mostly everyone has heard about a good movie or book, except you? :(

:welcome: XxHogwartsHokagexX to the best forum in the world.

It's not ur mistake u did'nt hear abt the books - y I myself heard abt them very late - much after the 3 books had released. The problem with the BT trilogy is that it'n not famous at all. Very few ppl know abt it & even few have read it. I came to know abt it thru a cousin living in another state. And I know just 4 ppl who have read the books - 2 of whom read the books becoz I told them it was good.

Anyway, what possessed u to choose such a name(not that I don't like it - its real good)?

Yes, unfortunately, it's not very famous at all. But a film ought to change it.
Though it was a bestseller, I think with Harry Potter, Bartimaeus Trilogy didn't stand a chance against their inferiority.
And new people, :P try not to use chat talk, though that conversation and argument about chat talk has gone on for a bit.
um...let's see...hogwarts because i like to read harry potter books very much, and hokage because im into anime...a lot (esp. naruto and bleach, but i watch bleach more)

the first film was how i got into harry potter in the first place, by the way XD

my aunt bought me AoS for my birthday when i was about fourteen, but i just sort of shrugged it off and put it on my shelf until last year. i got bored and decided to read it, then this holidays i decided to read the final two.

Wow. It's been almost four years.

Bart and I met the summer before high school.

...I'm thinking Luciene would say that type of "When Harry Met Sally" thing, not you, and she would be saying it about Stroud.
But yes, I see what you mean.
When hey came out. Then I tracked down the books when they came like flies to food.

Anniversary, I think.
And congrats.
I had to wait awhile to read the Third one, I borrowed it from a friend, then bought it myself later, like I did with HP5.
