Today, once again, turned down from joining the godforsaken student council...
*sigh*
I'm taking this to seriously.

Edit: Though not as serious as this one guy, who got turned down for preaching political beliefs to the council. Although, I was considering...

The teachers that hate me used to kick me out for no reason, so now I just do stuff on purpose to annoy them. I make comments that my teachers hate, but the class seems to like them. But, I manage my grades, so the teachers have no choice, but to keep me in their classes. I love it.

Oh, you are so lucky. :D
It's either I give up trying to please them and raise Hell in ther class, with a consequence of bad grades(because of their part), or I act so perfectly silent that they can't violate my rights.

If it's anything like the student council at my school you're not missing out on much.

We don't really have a student council.

Just people who run for office, get elected because no one else runs or they are popular, and then show up half the time to grade meetings that are rare. Oh, and about two people who don't have a position show up.

My best friend is the Secretary. At least I can feed him ideas. He's pretty clueless, he was the only one running for the position.

Isn't it fun? Drives the teachers mad, and boost your popularity and reputation. :D

Do you guys have a national honor society type deal?

Well anyway, it looks good on your college applications if you get in, but two people just got kicked off of ours for cheating, and were replaced....

I don't do any community service, so I diodn't get on.

Our student council is really gay from what I have heard.

our student council meets every term and is made up of 2 reps from each form who are elected. i have only been to one in my second year, i thought it was a waste of time and didnt bother to show up for the other 3 years. i didnt realise you have to excuse yourself formally until this time round...

Student councils aren't worth it. They come up with ideas that would be cool - if all our school funds hadn't gone to air conditioning in the teachers lounge.

That's what I've heard a lot...
I'm just upset that they denied me.

I don't think I've ever tried out for school council actually. Budgeting out school dances never really interested me. Ah well, there goes my future as a party planner.

I got pressganged into being secretary for the school council.
I soon worked out that the teacher in charge never actually read the minutes I had to type up and email her every week, so I copied and pasted the ones from the week before each time. She never noticed.
Me and the chairman used to spend our time in the meetings waving at the younger kids to put their hands down whenever the teacher looked the other way to keep the meetings shorter, since nothing was ever done about the suggestions, even the ones the teacher couldn't come up with an excuse about on the spot.

Ahhh, them were the days... *sigh*.

Lucky sods. Wish we'd got bribed with chocolate cake.
I suspect the teacher in charge ate it all, fat bitch.

Our school doesn't have the budget for chocolate cake. Sad, isn't it?

meh, with the £20,000+ they rip out of us for god knows they should be able to afford it. bloody fees are STILL going up despite them closing one house so all the others a bursting, scrapping the plans for a new pavilion, stopping the christmas+summer fairs and ditching crisps and chocolate in the pack lunches.
