I completely wasted my time trying to get a voter id myself. They gave it to us in college. The very next day.

Nah. Though last election a few people suggested pencilling in a "Barack Obama" option and checking that.

Even if a person doesn't like any of the politicians, they should do their research (a skill many people would do well to learn *grumble*), and pick the best candidate (even if "best" translates to "mediocre"). Otherwise it's not an accurate representation of the majority of the country. I'm sick of people complaining who didn't even bother to vote.

Meaning the NOTA is an option there?

Well, there are some 'good' canditates, but in the end it is the party which matters. And all political parties are 'bad'. Even the PM cannot go completely against the wishes of the party he is from.

Depends where you are. If you are in the UK for example, you don't vote because you like any party, you vote so the BNP do not get in.
