You're tired of politics... sooo... you watch the most biased and unreliable news source you can possibly find?
Riiiiight.

^Took me a while to get that. Hilarious.

I like the word amethyst but figured that it was too common so changed the 'a' to 'e'. It just so happened that my other usernames also started with 'em', so I shortened them all to Emmie. Mmm-hmm. Yep.

When watching the news, I switch between CNN and Fox between commercial breaks/every two minutes to get a balanced dose of liberal and conservative spin (respectively). I refuse to watch Beck and O'Reilly.

Of course, this is when I'm not getting news from the internet.
I just watch some discussion programmes on news channels. When they call on some distinguished guests/professionals and ask them to share their views on a particular topic. Only then do I see a modicum of fairness. Otherwise, watching news on channels is definitely not worth it. Newspapers here are fairer. And sometimes, if the news involves your country and another, it is better to check out the online newspapers of the other country too. Or an international source.

*shrug* If I'm not on the internet, I just watch the local news. Sometimes Global's Toronto stuff.

I guess I am the only idiot who reads the newspapers, page by page. Everyone else seems to prefer checking stuffs on internet or switching on the TV.

Newspapers are filled with ads around here; it's such a waste of paper, so I stick to online newspaper websites (mind you, the local one just got an "upgrade" and is ridiculously confusing to navigate). Plus we don't have a subscription or anything. Some weekends we'll buy the newspaper, but other that that...

We buy 5 different newspapers daily.

As usual, this is another example of how different it is for different countries. Here, there is increase in all newspaper publications because there is an (ongoing) increase in literacy rates. There, there is a decrease in publications because of high internet penetration.

I just use Google Reader to aggregate anything I'm interested in on the internet. Most of my non-tech news comes from various BBC News feeds. About as unbiased as you get, and Google Reader makes it easy to skim over things I'm not interested in.
Never really got on with newspapers. There's so much rubbish in them I'm really not interested in.

I realized today I haven't watched TV in two weeks, so I'm just going to say I get ma shtuff frm teh interwebs.
