Not quite, human nature is to save yourself, yes, but to save your fellow man too.
Think about this-
The Three Laws of Robotics-
1st. A Robot may not harm a human being, or through inaction allow a human to come to harm.
2nd.A Robot must follow an order given by a human, unless it conflicts with the 1st law.
3rd.A Robot must protect it's existance, as long as said protection doesn't violate the first and second law of robotics.

The same applies to a human being.
A good person will not kill another, and will try n save someone in harm, like a fire or something, and also, a good person listens to his elders- his docter, lawyer, parents.
And as always, we try to sva eour own skin.
thats human nature.

It could be an apology but he also could have been delirious because of the wound. I dunno it's possible innit?

Is there a craze about the word innit?

And yes, I think sacrificing your life could be considered noble.

As for human nature being to save yourself, there wasn't anyone else Nathaniel could've used to destroy Nouda, so... yeah.

And welcome Cormocodran, :welcome: .

You can have fun ending the first page of the Ptolemy's gate part of the forum, as it appears every topic has been recovered by Cormocodran.

Quite stupid really, though it does allow some life back into the forum.

Come to think of it, since the trilogy ended a few years ago, it's not likely that we'll talk about anything new about Bart at all, is it? Since we used up most of the ideas we can come up with for now... -_-

What Nat did was noble, without doubt, but do you guys think he did them only for Kitty? To impress her?

Its kind of pointless to impress someone if you're dead...

Well, he died to save Kitty. To make sure the spirits don't get her. And giving her the amulet too.....

I think he was focusing too much on worrying about Bart screwing up the Staff. He might have done it to impress Kitty, too...unconsciously.

Forget impressing. But I think the major reason he was ready to die & risk it all was for Kitty. Not for the rest. Though I would like to think otherwise.

Impressing someone by dying?
Most people don't feel impressed when someone dies for them.
Well, he might not be trying to impress Kitty, but trying to gain some respect from her, along with some forgiveness for all the bad things he had done earlier.

That might have happened earlier in the book though.
