Not really. It just says that there isn't a god and that the temptation of Adam and Eve that threw them out of the garden is a good thing, as it is actually, I believe, a metaphor for a person maturing and growing up.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be a metaphor. Wasn't it also based off of Paradise Lost?

Yes, he devoted the first few pages to dedicating the series to Paradise Lost.

I just finished it and i thought it was pretty bad........I didn't really get that Adam and Eve part but I'll probably understand it better the second time i read it.....generally it was too long and a bit boring.....also the ending was kind of disappointing....i cried a bit when Lyra and Will had to go back to their own worlds but i just didn't think it was a suitable ending....I was expecting a lot more... ^o)

Also, I just finished a play by Shakespeare which, for the first time ever, I actually hated: The Taming of the Shrew.

I hated that play.

I finished Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox.

I just finished reading Twilight .... it was sooo awesome....but i can't find New moon anywhere.... :-/ ..I'm like dying to read it but i couldn't get it so i ordered it of the internet and now I have to wait a week for Amazon to post it to Greece... ^o)

New Moon is the worst one, in my opinion, though I don't like them that much...so yeah.

Although from the trailer it doesn't look that good...I doubt if the film will do the book justice.... ^o)

Well, some people find Twilight to be a wonderful story full of rich characters and heartily recommend it.

And if you don't...well, it's rather entertaining.
