Just finished Brave New World (interesting after 1984), now looking at The Basic Writings of C.G. Jung, started on Demian: The Story of Emil Sinclair, and... an ACT preparation book.

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell - Susanna Clarke
The Magicians - Lev Grossman
The Scar - China Mieville

My advice: Read the first one, skip the second one, and I haven't read the third one so I have no opinion (but heard really good things about the author). :P

I have read The Magicians and The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared now too.

I actually really liked The Magicians; I thought it was clever (if seriously depressing).

China Mieville is amazing and I've loved everything of his I've read. Enough that I find it difficult to pick favourites, although I think it might just be The City and the City.

Finally finished the Whispering Skull, moving on to the next one...

Got The Art of the Force Awakens and The Discworld Atlas for Christmas, too. They're amazing.

Just finished rereading Golems Eye and PG, hence my presence here. Before that though, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, I guess the ending of that book drove me to seek something light and comfortable. PG failed that.
