Some weird (yet catchy) songs from a Japanese kids' show: Engine Sentai Go-onger (aka Japanese version of next year's Power Rangers)

A disaster! Buy new ones. The ones with the rubber seals have by far the best sound quality for price (I have a $20-odd Creative pair, but there's similar models by Sennheiser etc for similar prices), and they're pretty comfy too. They also block pretty much all external noise, which can be great or a pain at different times.

If I knew more about this I would probably argue with you until you convince me once again. :D

You really can't argue with the ear-sealing ones - the biggest sound quality problem with standard earphones is with bass, because the speakers are too small to produce sounds that deep. However, once they seal the ear, they have a trapped space of air inside your ears which means they can reproduce really deep pitches without the air effectively escaping the diaphragm, which is what happens in regular earphones, and why you need a subwoofer to get decent bass on a full sized speaker system.
Once you've used them you'll never go back. Promise.

Yes, but I must wait for my first paycheck for my new job. (Heh, they pay you for four hours of "training", aka eating cookies and watching safety videos.) And my old earbuds have special value to me, and they're green. ;)

Bollywood songs. I love them. It would be a waste to mention them though.
