SUCH A GORGEOUS SONG.
Also, looking for new bands to listen to. Any suggestions?
Enya and the LotR soundtrack are both awesome, so it's hardly surprising that's a good song...
As Ben says, it's kinda hard to recommend stuff without genres/similar bands/etc to look for, but here's a few random (non-metal) suggestions (in alphabetical order):
Black Mountain - rather excellent Canadian rock band; listen to Heart of Snow; Tyrants; Queens Will Play; Radiant Hearts.
The Decemberists - folk/indie rock; listen to The Mariner's Revenge Song; Rox in the Box.
Eluveitie - album Evocation I: The Arcane Dominion only; the rest of their output is metal - Swiss folk band; listen to Omnos; Memento.
Fever Ray - creepy atmospheric Swedish electronic project (not dance-y like a lot of electronic); listen to If I Had a Heart; I'm Not Done.
Flogging Molly - Celtic punk band, just generally good fun - listen to Drunken Lullabies; The Heart of the Sea; What's Left of the Flag.
Jenny Owen Youngs - American singer/songwriter I may or may not go on about at every opportunity; listen to Led to the Sea; Dissolve; Last Person.
Ladies of the Canyon - all-female Canadian country (yes, I'm recommending a country band, kill me now), and concerningly good; listen to Follow Me Down.
Rodrigo y Gabriela - two acoustic guitarists playing technical Latin-ish music, difficult to describe but *really* good; listen to Tamacun; Hanuman; Orion.
Vienna Teng - another singer/songwriter, folk/pop-ish; listen to No Gringo; White Light; In Another Life.
Hopefully there's something you'll like there...
Pieces Form the Whole - Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (The Social Network)
Sentynel - Head Ninja, Admin, Keeper of the Ban Afrit, Official Forum Graphics Guy, and forum code debugger.
