Thank you. The forum provides it. I like most of the avies available so I don't usually bother taking outside ones. Plus, I'll have to resize those ones.

I'm talking about the ones I get from google images. They are not automatically resized. Sometimes google provides an option of different sizes for the same image (and, with luck, one might be of the right size) but mostly it doesn't. Does it automatically resize for you?

Yeah, any images I upload, by file or url, gets resized for me automatically.

Images used as avatars are scaled automatically by the site, but this is on display and performed by the web browser. Scaling yourself in an image editor is preferred as the file size will be much smaller and the resampling quality higher.
