Post-rock no less. Instrumental post-rock. This album tells the story of the Great Sparrow Campaign (part of the Great Leap Forward in Mao-era China). Since it has no lyrics, it does it via the titles.

1. "The Great Leap Forward Poured Down Upon Us One Day Like a Mighty Storm, Suddenly and Furiously Blinding Our Senses."
2. "We Stood Transfixed in Blank Devotion as Our Leader Spoke to Us, Looking Down On Our Mute Faces With a Great, Raging, and Unseeing Eye."
3. "Like the Howling Glory of the Darkest Winds, This Voice Was Thunderous and the Words Holy, Tangling Their Way Around Our Hearts and Clutching Our Innocent Awe."
4. "A Message of Avarice Rained Down Upon Us and Carried Us Away Into False Dreams of Endless Riches."
5. "'Annihilate the Sparrow, That Stealer of Seed, and Our Harvests Will Abound; We Will Watch Our Wealth Flood In.'"
6. "And by Our Own Hand Did Every Last Bird Lie Silent in Their Puddles, the Air Barren of Song as the Clouds Drifted Away. For Killing Their Greatest Enemy, the Locusts Noisily Thanked Us and Turned Their Jaws Toward Our Crops, Swallowing Our Greed Whole."
7. "Millions Starved and We Became Skinnier and Skinnier, While Our Leaders Became Fatter and Fatter."
8. "Finally, as That Blazing Sun Shone Down Upon Us, Did We Know That True Enemy Was the Voice of Blind Idolatry; and Only Then Did We Begin to Think for Ourselves."

Here's a weird game

First go to Wikipedia, and click on random article on the side. This will be your album. Or just choose an article yourself. (Which I did)

Then keep clicking random article until satisfied. This will be the tracks on your album.

Album: Pseudo-Nero

1) Venus tablet of Ammisaduqa
2) Izé
3) Jackie Paris
4) Asystasia
5) Graduate School of Oriental Medicine
6) Cleopatra (1970 film)
7) Elisabeth Kehrer
8) Conserve (Ngo)
9) Ljubinje
10) Thomas Storrow Brown
11) Hotel Leela Venture
12) Withdrawal from the European Union
13) Battle of Beaugency

Man I feel this'll top all the charts.

What about a Wikipedia race? They're fun. You need at least 2 people and with a computer each, on the wikipedia main page. You get someone else to say a RANDOM word and then you have to find the article related to that word by only clicking the links on whatever page you're on. You go from page to page until you find the article.
When I set out from the boy's attic window, my head was so full of competing plans and complex strategems that I didn't look where I was going and flew straight into a chimney.

Something symbolic in that. It's what fake freedom does for you.

A better version is as follows:

1) - Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random

The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2) - Go to Random quotations: http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3

The last three to five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3) - Go to flickr's "explore the last seven days" http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/

Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

Often produces worryingly good results.

For example (and this was the first attempt):

The band, album and cover fit remarkably well. The songs, not so much. Not really sure about that method.
