One of my biggest gripes with Windows. =p A sacred ritual one must go through every now and then, or face a system slower than a sloth on Prozac, and/or less stable than said sloth on a beach ball.

If you use Windows much you probably will have to every couple of years. Especially because, as avowed Mac users, you won't be familiar with all the tweaks, workarounds, and general maintenance you can use to keep Windows running smoothly for longer. Hee.
Vista's not actually that slow, especially if you turn off the spinny-rotatey graphics.

You'll probably be alright for a while with just games. If that's all you're using it for it's nice and easy to reinstall, too. It's saving all your documents and internet settings and stuff that causes problems with reinstalls.
