What about the Ring of Solomon?

General Discussion
I want to read it, but Im not sure if its gonna be the same without dear nat and kitty? :hmm:
Bart is in it though, so I might give it a shot. Is it good? :pirate2:

It definitely is not the same, but I don't think that's no reason to spend time reading it.

The book certainly has its entertaining moments, and Bart is pretty much the same, expect he's slightly less cynically, and of course that one very important part.

I have to say it's not as good as any of the three in the original trilogy, but once again it is worth a try.

It's really good. Barti's younger and slightly less dark. You'll love it.

Yeah, and in there you would find more of bart's friendsip with faquarl

Whats up with everyone being to happy for everything about faquarl btw? You know, he is kinda cruel most of the time, only becoming something near a bit good in the end, but everyone seems to furiously like him?

You can't criticize him for being cruel. Sadism is a totally natural response being kidnapped, enslaved and forced to torture/kill/cook for centuries. And we don't even know if spirits have morality to begin with.

The book is real good, I would suggest that you read it. :)

that's right just think of it, you suddenly kidnapped by someone then, he told you to do all the slave works and you have to do it in order to live, but when at least you managed to kill him and break free, you get kidnapped by another man, and this goes for centuries. surely you'll go bitter and cruel (or, your mind will be broken and you come to love the kidnapper)

It's my favorite in the series actually. I didn't become very attached to Nathaniel or Kitty. Bartimaeous is the real star.

True; a story only about Kitty or Nat would be boring.
