Fuzzy: "It had to be one of the huskies. But that's not possible. I checked. They're all safely in their cages, and the kennel building is locked. Besides, they wouldn't do something like this"
Nero: "Well, something happened to Mwamba. And she's not alive. Not with that amount of blood on the floor"
Footstool: "Whatever happened to her, we have to leave before it happens to us too"
Captain Internets: "We don't have that option. We radioed New Zealand; the helicopter won't be able to make it here before the first storms"
Sentynel: "So....we're trapped here."

Luciene: "One of the dogs just must have gotten loose. We'll be alright..."
Nero: "She's right. What other options are there? I'm going to go to the kennel, to check for blood."
Nero got up and left. Soon he came back into the kitchen wearing a parka and carrying a UV light. He unbolted the door from the kitchen to the outside, and disappeared into the night.
N&B: "Isn't the kennel building locked? Did he take the keys with him?"
Fuzzy: "No. I still have them."
Fuzzy made to get up and follow Nero outside to give him the keys.... but there was something just too tempting. The way one of them was so vulnerable, all alone outside in the Antarctic night with a storm on it's way, without the keys that would allow him shelter. And among the rest of the members, there was an uneasy knowledge that somehow, someway, a human had to be involved in Mwamba's death.
When Nero remembered he needed keys, he returned to the main base to find it locked. He pounded on the door, but no one unlocked it for him.
The parka couldn't save him. He died of hypothermia in the night.
