Well, I'm back.

Long time no talk, I know.

Firstly, I've not read the new book yet, sadly. 'tis a situation I'll rectify soon enough, I work a little this weekend.

Anyways, in the time since my last post, I've done a great deal, legal and otherwise.

Besides the sex, drugs, and rock n' roll, I:
- Got married on March 29th, my birthday, a week after telling my parents I'd move out that weekend
- Moved out, that weekend, and in with now-wife and her parents
- Graduated high school

And, well, that's about it.
The sex, drugs, and rock n' roll comprises most of the rest of my time.

So, yeah. Hello everyone, for those who don't know me, I'm from Las Vegas, and I used to post a great deal, but I've been gone since November of 2010, but really since this time that year.

Nice to see the board's doing well, and I bid hello and good intentions to those who remain, and a fond, late farewell to those lost to us.

OH MY F*CKING GOD!
You aren't pulling our legs, right? If you aren't, congratulations on getting married!

You got married!? (On the day you turned 18, no less.) I believe a "pics or it didn't happen" is traditional at this point... And, man, were your parents really THAT bad?

Good to have you back, anyway.

Yes, yes, and yes.

Alas, I don't have the photos of the ceremony itself, her computer's being defragged at the moment (put that off three months too late).

Busy? Eh. I keep waking up somewhere between noon and six in the afternoon.

But, it works out. I need a shower, brb.

Oh, for a more current picture, I threw a shot of me from prom into my profile here.

Did you get married to that girlfriend you kept talking about earlier? The one who had the nice voice, iirc.
Aren't people supposed to be a little more responsible after getting married? I mean, at least not get up in the afternoons. And are you planning on continuing your education or taking up a job?

That would indeed be the one.

And, I suppose. But, I'm not really a fan of the institution in general - tax breaks are nice, though. It seems pointless in a country with a 50% divorce rate.

Anyways, we're more responsible, I suppose. I have a job (on-Call, stagehand. Fewer hours than I'd like, but I'm working on that), and we manage the finances well, and pay for our own food and internet.

Srsly, he has 1.5Mbps from CenturyLink. We now have 12Mbps for $7 more.

Anyways, as a stagehand, I've yet to have work start before 8PM, and it routinely goes until 2, 3, or 4 AM. So, that helps.
Oh, and yes, I'm planning on college. Two years of community college, so that the required classes are cheaper, then when I figure out a major, I'll go to UNLV.

^Sounds like a good plan. Being married helps in terms of financial aid, too, I'm halfway tempted to enter into a sham marriage with one of my friends in order to get more OSAP money. Which is probably crazy unethical, but whatever. So is a lot of the stuff universities do to increase the cost of getting a decent education.

What kind of work do you do as a stagehand?

IMO what's unethical is married people getting bonuses just for being married, if you do do a sham marriage you should not feel guilty about it. Just my $0.02 :P

Yeah, it sounds like a good plan.

I have a friend who desperately wanted to get married to Daniel Radcliffe so that she could divorce him and get some of his money. She has other, bigger plans now.

I knew someone who just wanted to marry him.

Well done David.

That's not too bad of a job. At least the intangible perks are nice.

Plus, you catch the last bit of whatever show is playing. The last thirty minutes of Rammstein, fifteen feet stage-left from the drummer.
But, holy mother of all pyro, their explosions are loud.

At the moment, largely manual labor. Moving crap, loading/unloading trucks of various sizes. Plugging and unplugging cables of a few sizes, then coiling them up at the end of the day. On Thursday I'm getting a lesson on spot ops (lighting), and so will be more useful, and actually do things for shows themselves.

And hey, ethics are ethics, and the best (worst) argument-starting things in existence. I'll not question yours, so long as I keep my crap, my life, and my Dr. Pepper Cherry Dessert Topper. Seriously, stuff's good.

On a side note, we've sort of picked up smoking. I'm sure it'll mature into a proper, once-a-day thing, but for now it's a social thing. Much like getting blasted with friends.

Sorry, I haven't slept in a day and a half.
(nothing illegal - hell, not even a party, just was out doing stuff)

So, away to four hours of sleep, then an hour of phone calls, maybe an eye appointment, then a nap or two I go.

I like what you've done so far mate but I'd advise keeping it a social thing. Just my opinion though. Don't wanna be judgmental.

I'll be judgemental for you, then.

Don't be stupid. I'm fairly sure you're not in fact a total moron, so apply your brain. Smoking is ridiculously expensive and will eventually kill you, neither of which are particularly desirable outcomes. You start smoking regularly, you'll blow enormous amounts of money on it you can't afford and could be spending on so many better things, and you get the unpleasantness of having to give it up at some point down the line before it's done enough damage to kill you. (Or not give it up and die a horrible painful death.)
It's not cool, it's not clever. I get you're adults now, whoop-de-do. Find a better way to revel in your adultness.

Wow. What qualifies as bigger plans than that, I wonder? XD Thanks for making me feel less guilty, David. Just need to figure out which of my friends is nuts enough. Thankfully same-sex marriage is legal here, so I've got a range of options. *evil grin*

Yeah Datsyuk, listen to Sam. He speaks sense as usual.

The last time I heard, she was thinking about how to capture the heart of a business tycoon's son.

Canada is cool. Same-sex marriage is not legal here (of course *rolls eyes*) but Hindus of the same-sex do marry and think of it as legal. Because the Hindu marriage act defines marriage as union between two Hindus. Doesn't specify gender thankfully. (And marriage registration is not at all compulsory.) So if I get such ideas too, I will carry them out too. ;)

Has she actually met this person, at least?

Wow, awesome loophole!

Uh oh. Something just occured to me. Dansariki, please, please do not tell me it was one of those tacky Vegas drive-thru weddings.Like you see in the movies, with the cupids and the glitter, etc? Because I don't think I could cope with that.
