I saw a forum the other day that if you have no posts then on the main page there is a banner saying "why not make your first post in the intro thread" or something to that effect.

We did have an introductions forum, but it was removed back in the mists of (pre-Zetaboards) time as part of our spam control measures, and never got revived. I'm not sure if we can do a message to new members only with this software, but I'll have a look..
