Well, third gender possibly? But I never thought they could, um, conceive you know.
There was another case but it was a 13 yr old girl. They happen.

In science class we read about a teenager who built a nuclear reactor in his backyard using household items.
I think his name was David Hahn.

Something like that.
He did a lot of it by doing what you can't today.
Also, it involved a lot of smoke detectors being ordered.
Hell, I read about that a long time ago, I'm gonna have to read it again.

Hi! There's something I'd like to share with all of you!!

Yesterday (Christmas Eve) in Sweden(1), like every Christmas Eve ever since 1958, at 15.00 PM, a TV show called "Kalle Anka" (which is the Swedish name for Donald Duck) was broadcast. It includes several Disney cartoon videos (featuring Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, The Lady and the Tramp, Cinderella, The Jungle Book... and more). The first of them (as shown in the link) is "Santa's workshop". I hope that you enjoy it!

I know, it might be childlish, but, still, I assure you that, at least, 80% of Swedish population loves these cartoons, and it's not Christmas for them until they watch them. Besides, these are real cartoons, meaning "something" not nowadays crap.

Merry Christmas!!

(1) Yup, I know that, because my mother is Swedish, and I've got family there.

It doesn't seem very childish to me. It is nice, sweet and funny.

Wow.
Cool article.
wrote:Many modern mental-health practitioners and researchers believe that the scientific standing of our drugs, our illness categories and our theories of the mind have put the field beyond the influence of endlessly shifting cultural trends and beliefs. After all, we now have machines that can literally watch the mind at work. We can change the chemistry of the brain in a variety of interesting ways and we can examine DNA sequences for abnormalities. The assumption is that these remarkable scientific advances have allowed modern-day practitioners to avoid the blind spots and cultural biases of their predecessors.

The Americanization of Mental Illness

Basically it's suggesting that culture (or more specifically, American culture in the last few years or so), has a significant impact on mental illness and symptoms.
That is a really good article.
All cultures have their positives and negatives. Lifestyle has never been a strong point of American culture.

DJ plays 'Jump' as suicidal woman holds up traffic

Is it bad that a small part of me wants to laugh at this?

I get up, and nothing gets me down.
You got it tough. I've seen the toughest soul around.
And I know, baby, just how you feel.
You've got to roll with the punches to get to what's real
Oh can't you see me standing here,
I've got my back against the record machine
I ain't the worst that you've seen.
Oh can't you see what I mean ?

Might as well jump. Jump !
Might as well jump.
Go ahead, jump. Jump !
Go ahead, jump.

Aaa-ohh Hey you ! Who said that ?
Baby how you been ?
You say you don't know, you won't know
until you begin.
Well can't you see me standing here,
I've got my back against the record machine
I ain't the worst that you've seen.
Oh can't you see what I mean ?

Might as well jump. Jump!
Go ahead, jump.
Might as well jump. Jump!
Go ahead, jump. Jump!

(guitar solo)
(keyboard solo)

Part of the video version: Aaa-ohh!

Might as well jump. Jump!
Go ahead, jump.
Get it and jump. Jump!
Go ahead, jump
Jump! Jump! Jump! Jump!

I only laughed at this because this is one of my favourite songs, and the lyrics, "Might as well jump. Go ahead, jump JUMP!" made me laugh out loud. Then I hated myself and the idiot who put on the song.
Supposedly it was at the request of a frustrated commuter. So it couldn't possibly be his fault. ;)

The man is totally not responsible. And anyway, the police says she couldn't even have heard the song.

wrote: A teenage girl in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to 90 lashes and two months in prison for taking a cell phone to school, the U.K.'s Daily Mail reported Wednesday.

The 13-year-old's punishment, harsher than that given to some robbers and looters, requires her to be flogged in front of her classmates, the Daily Mail quoted Saudi newspaper Al-Watan.

She was reportedly hiding a cell phone in class, breaking strict Saudi regulations banning their use in girls' schools.

Saudi Arabia is the world's leading country in the use of torture-by-flogging, and religious police keep a close watch over public behavior, the Mail reported.

In September, twenty Saudi teenagers who ransacked shops and restaurants were flogged in public.
