In alphabetical order on my RSS reader:
Abstruse Goose (science/maths-y jokes, mixed format)
Brown Sharpie (maths jokes, single panel)
The Order of the Stick (Dungeons and Dragons/general storytelling trope jokes, long format, epic storyline - highly recommended)
Darths and Droids (what if Star Wars was a Dungeons and Dragons-type game? Long format, uses movie stills for art, follows the general structure of the movie plots, for entirely different (and much more logical) reasons; notable for making Jar Jar likeable and R2-D2 an irritating git)
Dr McNinja (does what it says on the tin: stars a doctor who is also a ninja, with sidekicks including a gorilla and a velociraptor-riding, pistol-wielding, moustachioed twelve year old. Other characters include Doc's family (Dan McNinja, for example, who once set himself on fire while being chased by other ninjas because "they can't catch me if I'm on fire!" The very embodiment of the Rule of Cool multiplied by the Rule of Funny. Art progressed from inked line art to digitally shaded to coloured. Long format with story arcs. Highly recommended.)
Dreamless (new serious graphic novel, off to a slow start but looks interesting. Brilliant art)
Erfworld (fantasy comic, a la Order of the Stick for wargames rather than roleplaying games. On a break for a bit after the completion of the first story arc)
Girl Genius (steampunk storyline/humour comic, currently on a brief silly break between issues)
Night Zero (serious zombie comic; art is real HDR photos)
Questionable Content (amusing, well-written slice-of-life comic)
Surviving the World (daily life lessons on a blackboard)
The Phoenix Requiem (serious fantasy graphic novel; slow paced but great story and beautiful art)
Subnormality (long, text-heavy comics on life, the universe and everything. Insightful and funny, and occasionally inspiring. Highly recommended.)
xkcd (A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language. The classic. Highly recommended.)

That's not even all of them, just the better ones.

I meant individual pages.

Oh, and Dr. McNinja is a love or hate thing. It is very over the top, to the point where suspension of disbelief starts wearing thin.
Shame of the Super Son
But it is awesome.

I couldn't be bothered to find good pages from all of those. Far too many.

Like I said, living embodiment of the Rule of Cool (suspension of disbelief is directly proportional to how awesome something is) multiplied by the Rule of Funny (suspension of disbelief is directly proportional to how funny something is).

Too much far into the absurd for my liking.

As for Phoenix Requiem... well, can't say anything about the story, but the art is more meh in my opinion. Tries to be too real, but doesn't have the level of detail to pull it off. A degree of stylization is important, such as in that Dreamless.

As Senty couldn't be bothered to link to it, the Rule of Cool

Here's a nice one. Irregular is great.

Edit:

Clicky

The whole witchalok saga was awezome.

Also.

I'll find more later.
I wish I were a cat-dragon
I used to rather like Alien loves Predator, first webcomic I ever read :P

You realise Sarah Ellerton does the art on both The Phoenix Requiem and Dreamless?
I love the art on Requiem, personally.

Ben: ewww, ctrl alt del. Actually, his one-off game-based comics are often quite amusing, and don't generally require you to have played the game in question to get it, which is nice. I just can't be bothered to pick through the shockingly bad storyline to get the one-offs. Questionable Content does the slice-of-life thing so very much better.

CAD FTW.
Nothing wrong with the storyline (ok, the miscarriage thing was cabbage, but that's over now >>)

Yeah, he misjudged it completely...
That being said, the pregnancy was also cabbage. A wedding, I can accept. Pregnancy? ...no.

Eh... Requiem could use more detail.

A lot of webcomics are only funny half the time. Like CAD, Penny Arcade, and PvP. But they still have some good ones.

Generally, the more panels a webcomic has, the better it is.

Except for xkcd.

Guess that theory failed.
I wish I were a cat-dragon
I feel ashamed for only just starting to read Dr McNinja.
But it's still awesome.
Something not so well known, but pretty funny
