Harry Potter did ok-ish, but definetly Eragon took a great book and killed it.
Patrick Steward is to serious, and he's been in Star Trek, duh, the 3 X-men movies, people just would associate him with bart. unless they havent read the book.

Then they'd read the book and associate them...

Never fear! We'll bring them to the literary light when they join the forum.

I think that Bart would have to sound as though he is very old and sarcastic. he is 5,000 years old after all. I don't think making him sound young would work. By having the guy who voices Barti an adult, it will give the right image that Barti is very much older than the other main characters. (Nat and Kitty.)

that would make sense, just dont cast Ian Mckellan or anything(he was magneto, gandalf), that just wouldnt make sense.

Cassette? I have no idea...I've only read the book and seen the movie, not half bad, to bad they won't continue the movie story.

I don't remember the names to any voice actors, but some funny sounding British guy would be good IMO. Bartimaeus shouldn't have an accent, but his voice actor would have to be human, so... yea... O_o

Barti....hmm, I imagined him having a mix off accents adopted from different countries from different masters, but bleh.

But mostly Arab. He'd want to remember Ptolemy, and I'm sure he can get rid of other accents easily.

I can imagine him using an American accent in PG, it'd be a nice way to annoy the magicians.

I don't care as long as it's not high pitched.

I can see Johnny Depp doing Bartimaeus' voice. To me, Barti was like another Jack Sparrow, funny, sarcastic, avoids confrontation, a bit of a braggart and strangely a lot of enemies. And yet, he can serve as an unexpected voice of wisdom.
You are... Isis! ~~~ Isis was the protective goddess and used her magical powers for people in need.
